Cold temperatures this morning! So far, this the the coldest morning yet this winter in many places across the region...a few isolated areas bottomed out in the high-teens early this morning. Into tomorrow, expect another round of low temperatures, but not quite as low. A weak "ripple" in the upper level flow will cause a few more clouds through the region, and stronger south-easterly Gulf flow will bring a little more moisture in to lower levels. Could get a little gusty at times, especially along the Rio Grande...around 25 mph during the afternoon.
Added moisture and a few more clouds to the region will lead to he possibility of some showers on Saturday morning...most of these will likely be to the east, however...and pretty insignificant...although a slight chance exists over the Rio Grande Plains, Interstate 35 Corridor, and Hill Country Beginning Sunday, high temperatures could be back into the 70's through the region, with lows in the 30's and 40's.
