A few clouds rolling in overnight, with some extensive Gulf or Mexico moisture seeping into the region will lead to the occasional light rain shower...or at list a little mist/drizzle through the early morning hours of Saturday.
By the afternoon, expect the region to dry out...making way for clearing skies and breezy winds. Temperatures will still be warm, but I don't expect them to get as hot as today. Added moisture, however, may make it "feel" as hot, though. I do expect a repeat of this again on Sunday...before the overall pattern shifts and cuts off the Gulf moisture on Monday. Meanwhile, afternoon high temperatures will remain at about 10-15 degree above normal for this time of year, and overall dry conditions and gusty winds continue to keep the wildfire threat elevated, especially through West Texas.
