Good Afternoon...windy today through the region as a cold front passed through...this will lead to cooler morning temperatures tomorrow morning...around freezing in most areas (especially if you include wind chill). Partly cloudy tomorrow as another disturbance roles overhead...but dry weather continues
for the Central Texas region...some sparse areas to the east through Hill Country and the San Antonio area did feel a few rain drops this morning, but nothing of any significance.
January is typically a dry month through the region...here's the normal rainfall totals versus what we've received so far this month:
Austin: 2.20" normally, 0.86" so far this month
Del Rio: 0.72" normally, 0.57" so far this month
San Antonio: 1.76" normally, 1.10" so far this month
San Angelo: 0.93" normally, 0.00" so far this month
No major relief on the way for this continued dry spell...with the continued push every few days of northerly, dry air...moist air from the Gulf is not able to reach as far inland as typical...and is halted further east and south (which would explain why San Antonio has received the most rainfall of the above mentioned locations).
