Exciting weather out there last night and all through the day today. "Winter Storm Goliath" is what the Weather Channel was calling it, and that seems like a pretty good name for it, at least here in Texas.
West Texas and Hill Country are still under a Winter Storm Warning/Advisory through the early morning hours and snow and sleet continues to fall through the region. I saw a storm report of over 5 inches of snow in Alpine. Additionally, Del Rio may see a few snow flurries through the evening, but nothing significant. I've attached a picture of the snowfall accumulation through the region- no surprise that roads on the Panhandle are shut down.
The good news is that tomorrow will be slightly more tranquil, as will the next few days. Highs in the upper 40s to low 60s, lows in the upper 20's to low 40s- a little more typical of this time of year. Stay Safe!
