Rain showers and sporadic embedded thunderstorms are ongoing for most of the region east of U.S. Hwy 277.
Areas receiving the heaviest rain locally will be through Central and Eastern Texas Hill Country and south through the U.S. Highway 90 Corridor south to the Rio Grande River.
Locations further just on or to the west of Hwy 277 will still see isolated showers through the day, but will likely be short-lived, infrequent, and light.
Expect cool temperatures today, and cooler overnight. Mostly Cloudy skies for most locations east of the Texas Big Bend will for the most part persist for a number of days keeping the temperatures more to a climatological norm(normal for this time of year). After today, we will see another spurt of rainfall (at least a chance of it...) during the latter half of this coming week.
